
Stars En Dior Charlize Theron
Dior, the famous Paris fashion house, created by Christian Dior in 1946 has released a magnificent book titled “Stars en Dior” or “Stars in Dior”. This book is released as part of the exposition with the same title in the Christian Dior Museum in Granville, France.
The exposition shows the biggest movies stars dressed by Dior such as Marlène Dietrich, Rita Hayworth, Ava Gardner, Olivia de Havilland, Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren, Marilyn Monroe, Brigitte Bardot, Isabelle Adjani, Sharon Stone, Penélope Cruz, Charlize Theron, Mélanie Laurent, Marion Cotillard, and many more.
The book features more than 250 pictures from movies, or shooting scenes, showing actresses wearing fashion designed by Dior.
Since he was a child, Christian Dior was passionate about modern cinema. In the 1940s, he already designed the costumes for several movies before focusing on haute couture. In 1947 Christian Dior created the dominant aesthetic look of the new post-war era based on sensual curved femininity which would soon be immortalized by a film featuring Marilyn Monroe.
