Paris Fashion Week Continues With Couture
Paris Hotels: Guaranteed Low Rates

The haute couture edition of Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010– reserved for an elite minority of designer houses which have won an official stamp of approval from the French government, kicks off this week following the men’s ready-to-wear shows last week. Fashionistas and celebrities are thronging to the runways to see new collections from British designer John Galliano (for Christian Dior), whimsical French créateur Jean Paul Gaultier, and a line from rising couture star Anne Valérie Hash which employs recycled garments from classic designers. Unless you’re loafing around in one of Paris’ top fashion districts or attempting to ogle actors and models at the ultraposh Hotel Costes this week, you’re unlikely to notice the whiff of champagne and luxury cell phones on the air (Versace is reportedly gearing up to show off a prototype for the latter at one of the shows this week– an invention which should make the world infinitely more useful).
Jesting aside, be sure to check back here toward the end of the week to see highlights from the main shows at Couture Week.
