How to get to Roland Garros (French Tennis Open), from my Hotel in Paris?

{ Posted on Jun 21 2010 by OhParis }

I will be going to the French Open Semi-finals on June 5th.
What is the best way to get to the stadium from my hotel in Paris? Taxi or train? Where do I take the train near my hotel? Which train station should I take and in which one should I drop off?
I will be staying in Pavillon Saint Augustin.
The hotel address is:
Pavillon Saint Augustin ***
16 rue de la Pépinière – 75008 PARIS

  1. Take metro line 9 from Saint Augustin station, towards Pont de Sevres as far as Michel-Ange d’ Auteuil. Time 15 minutes. There you change and take the only other line stopping there, for one station (Porte d’ Auteuil). From there it’s a 10-15 minute walk to Roland Garros.
There is also a bus for this last bit, but the interval between buses is about 10-15 minutes, so it’s not really worth it unless you are lucky. It’s a nice walk anyway, unless it’s raining in which case the match will be off.

  2. Head east on Rue de la Pépinière toward Rue Joseph Sansboeuf

    Turn right at Rue d’Anjou

    Turn right at Boulevard Haussmann

    Slight left at Place Saint-Augustin

Turn right to stay on Place Saint-Augustin

    Turn left at Rue Laborde

    Turn right at Boulevard Haussmann

Continue straight onto Avenue de Friedland

At Place Charles de Gaulle, take the 5th exit onto Avenue Foch

At Porte Dauphine, take the 4th exit onto Route de Suresnes

Take the ramp onto Boulevard Périphérique

Take the exit toward Avenue de la Porte d’Auteuil

Turn right at Avenue de la Porte d’Auteuil

Turn left at Avenue Gordon Bennett And there you are.

2 Avenue Gordon Bennett, 75016 Paris, Paris, Île-de-France, France
