Starting in Paris, then where to next?
Haha after watching tonight’s Gossip Girl’s episode, my friend and I are thinking about taking a vacation to Paris. We are not sure about the time of year (most likely next summer) or the time line (we were thinking maybe 2 weeks or so) but we were then wanting (after a few days in Paris) to go to other places close by…i’ve never been to Europe so i really don’t know how close things are to each other but what other places are near Paris that are worth visiting? Is there a good route we should take that would allow us to hit some key places across Europe?

Well you could go France , Spain, Portugal, or France, Italy, Germany, it all depends, but I recommend France, Spain, Portugal. Portugal is gorgeous.

Paris is roughly three hours by train from London–and if you’re going to do a quick vacation to Europe and have never been before, Paris and London are a good combo. I’m also a big fan of Italy–which you can reach cheaply via a low cost airline like Ryanair. Venice, Florence, Rome and the area around Naples are all places you must see at least once and you can get between them cheaply and easily by train.
