Oh Paris

The Instituto de México in Paris presents the guitar duo Santiago Gutiérrez-Bolio and Santiago Lascurain on Thursday 9 July at 7pm.

These artists recently played in Copenhagen at the “Sounds of Mexico” festival destined for the advancement of Mexican music and Mexican musicians residing in Europe. The program for the evening is a representative sample of the works played at this festival.

Santiago Gutierrez-Bolio and Santiago Lascurain perform works by Manuel M. Ponce, Mario Lavista, Santiago Gutiérrez Bolio and Dusan Bogdanovic, including a piece inspired by texts by Octavio Paz.

The mission of the Instituto de México in Paris is the dissemination of Mexican culture and art and the coordination of cultural exchanges between France and Mexico. Next to exhibitions of paintings, sculptures, photography and folk art, the Instituto de México show movies and organizes lectures, book readings and musicals.
