The Paris Museum of Modern Art is located in the Tokyo palace which was built for the International Exhibition of 1937. The museum was inaugurated in 1961 and has a collection of over 8000 works illustrating different trends in the art of the twentieth century. This museum features exhibitions on major European movements and artists of the twentieth century but also monographic and thematic exhibitions presenting the main art trends of today.
The Museum is located in the Trocadero, Eiffel Tour area in the 16th district of Paris.
