Naked Girls Video in Paris

Tuesday 19 May 2009

It is suddenly a huge hype in Paris, the video of the new girl group “Make the Girl Dance” with their latest clip “Baby Baby Baby”. How did that happen? Well no surprise, you film them undressed.

The presence of three fully naked girls, filmed a few days ago at rue Montorgueil in Paris, in front of shocked bypassers, is probably one of the reasons for the success. The video is available on the internet and watched over a million times.

The idea came from Pierre Mathieu a former TV host, and was meant to make the electro pop group he has with DJ Greg Kozo better known to the general public. They put an Ad on Facebook: “Looking for girls to get naked on the streets of Paris”, and thought this will never work. And guess what? On a recent Tuesday pedestrians in the Paris Montorgueil street where surprised by 3 naked girls walking and dancing through street. As filming nude on the streets in Paris is forbidden, they had to be fast, no rehearsal, and only one single shot. This makes it the fastest shot music video, and probably also the cheapest (€650).

Cannes Warms Paris

Saturday 16 May 2009

The latest movies at the Cannes film festival were getting all the attention this weekend in Paris. Paris Match decided to cheer up the Parisians with a photo session of Monica Bellucci and Sophie Marceau, the lead actresses of the movie “Ne te retourne pas” (Don’t look back).

It seems that the marketing department for this movie got the same inspiration as the producers of “Make the Girl Dance” song “Baby Baby Baby” which we discussed last week; scarily dressed, nice looking women, draw attention.

Oh, by the way “Ne te retourne pas”  is the story of a married woman and mother of 2 children, Jeanne (Sophie Marceau), who suddenly sees changes in her home and even in her body. Her family and friends blame the changes to a great exhaustion caused by the writing of her book, but Jeanne knows that it’s something deeper. She discovers a photo at her mother’s place which puts her on the trail of a woman in Italy. There Jeanne, physically transformed (now Monica Bellucci) finds the explanation of what is happening…

The movie will be in theatres on June 3, 2009
