Hotels
Paris Hotels Right bank (Rive Droite).
Hotels Opéra district: This area is known for the historic Paris Opéra and the shopping area just behind it with department stores such as Galeries Lafayette, Le Printemps and many more. Hotel prices are affordable. This is the preferred neighborhood of many tourists and features lots of Japanese restaurants.
Hotels Montmartre district: Main attractions here are the Sacré-Coeur church, the square with painters, and of course the village of Montmartre. Some call this the most representative part of Paris. Lot of history was made here and many movies have been shot here. This is also the area where you can find the famous Moulin Rouge cabaret. However, some parts of this neighborhood look run down…
Hotels République and Bastille district: At République and Bastille, you will find a pleasant, lively neighborhood and direct access to the sights of the city. The interest of this district lies in the attractiveness of the prices of its hotels, rapid transport to the heart of the city, and nice little shops plus romantic restaurants. In terms of Paris hotels this area offers the best value for money.
Hotels Marais district: This area is known for its trendy crowds, it features small streets, specials shops, and it is definitely the place to go for bars, clubs, and theaters. The Paris Marias district is also known for its gay population. Like the apartments in this area, who have become very popular and expensive, the hotels are not really cheap, but … you’re staying in the Marais
Left bank (Rives Gauche):
Hotels Saint Germain des Près: The district acquired its soul by the attraction of intellectuals since the 17th century who left their traces in many street and bars. The philosophers discussed their passions in Café Flore, or les Deux Maggots, who still draw lots of clients because of the their famous customers of the past. Hotels in this area can be found in a wide range of prices and can meet the budget of most.
Hotels Eiffel Tour & Trocadero district: In this area you are close to a lot of sightseeing attractions such as the Eiffel Tower (Tour Eiffel, with Trocadero and Champs de Mars), and the Champs Elysees. This is an ideal area for romantic night out (see our restaurant tip) and shopping. Most hotels in this area are high-end, so if you are not so much budget constrained this is the right area.
