Paris Photo Exposition Volutes et Voluptés

Wednesday 24 June 2009

A new Paris photo exposition will start in galerie Sylvia Rhud. With the series “Les couleurs du temps” (The colors of time), Yves Bitrin took us into a floral universe where colors and work became the language of the senses.

It is a continuation of those two lines of development to which we are invited with the series of photographs entitled “Volutes et Voluptés”.

Continuing the manipulation of subjects by light, it plays with forms and colors of wood chips, vegetable garlands, and tight shots of body fragments covered with fine lingerie, mixing parings and trimmings until the dialogue takes place, almost whispered. Between the different sizes of images, a language occurs where words arise and are spoken to become nothing more than a sensation.

From June 24 till 29 2009 at Galerie Sylvia Rhud.
19, rue (Pierre) Fontaine
75009 Paris
The gallery is open daily from 10am till 7pm.
Varnishing day (vernissage): June 25th from 6pm till 10pm.

Student of Thelonious Sphere Monk, who is considered as the founder of Bebop, Joel will play his own compositions. One of his most famous compositions are an 8 hours piano solo called “Industrial Arts”, the off-Broadway show “Living Fascist” and the theme of the musical “Fresh Air” (a popular radio show). In France, he accompanied various silent movies, and in Paris he plays often in the Louvre and Orsay Museums.

The Delta association is a project of Françoise MARBLEU to present and promote the work of contemporary artists outside the traditional circuits.

You can find Le Delta at 26 rue du Delta, 75009 Paris, Métro Anvers ou Barbès. Entrance is free
