Oh Paris

The Paris Museum of Modern Art is located in the Tokyo palace which was built for the International Exhibition of 1937. The museum was inaugurated in 1961 and has a collection of over 8000 works illustrating different trends in the art of the twentieth century. This museum features exhibitions on major European movements and artists of the twentieth century but also monographic and thematic exhibitions presenting the main art trends of today.

The Museum is located in the Trocadero, Eiffel Tour area in the 16^th district of Paris.

A new Paris photo exposition will start in galerie Sylvia Rhud. With the series “Les couleurs du temps” (The colors of time), Yves Bitrin took us into a floral universe where colors and work became the language of the senses.

Paris Photo Exposition Volutes et Voluptés

It is a continuation of those two lines of development to which we are invited with the series of photographs entitled “Volutes et Voluptés”.

Continuing the manipulation of subjects by light, it plays with forms and colors of wood chips, vegetable garlands, and tight shots of body fragments covered with fine lingerie, mixing parings and trimmings until the dialogue takes place, almost whispered. Between the different sizes of images, a language occurs where words arise and are spoken to become nothing more than a sensation.

In the heart of the trendy Paris Marais neighborhood, the Carnavalet Museum displays the history of the capital, from its origins until today. The museum consists of two mansions, built in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, and now connected to each other by a gallery.

The Hotel Carnavalet, which gave its name to the museum and in which Madame de Sévigné lived (famous for her correspondence with her daughter) houses collections from the prehistory until the reign of Louis the 16^th.

The Hotel Le Peletier St. Fargeau shows pieces dating from the Revolution to the present day. Further, in the halls of the museum you will discover the rich legacy of Paris.

The museum is open daily from 10am to 6pm, except for Mondays and certain public holidays.
