In Paris, Barbara discovers art and culture exist at every turn. She meets up with Kassia, a young and aspiring artist, in a local café. They tour the city by foot and boat, traveling along the river Seine, whose banks have been turned into public beaches with imported sand. Aspiring artists Barbara and Kassia visit the Louvre, one of the largest and certainly the most famous art gallery in the world, which houses Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. Like the local artists who sell their work on the streets each day, Barbara is determined to create an original sketch of the Eiffel Tower and do the same.
Named after its creator, Gustave Eiffel, the Tour d’Eiffel has adorned the French capital of Paris for more than a century. It was erected in 1886 in record time and can be seen from almost every square and tiny lane in Paris. The eye is first drawn to its sturdy steel girders and weight-bearing transverse poles which are held in place by about 2.5 million rivets, an amazing technical achievement of its time. From the airy heights of the first viewing platform, there is a wonderful multi-directional panorama across Paris. On the higher viewing platforms, the air is thinner but the views are increasingly spectacular. The Trocadero, Arc de Triomph, and Sacre Coeur, indeed, the whole of Paris are the distant earthbound stars of this visual experience which towers over one of the most beautiful and charming city’s in the world.

Some of these natural wonders are simple affairs, whilst others are great symphonies of design, color and passion. Experience the regal beauty of Versailles and feel the inner power created by the sensitive combination of nature and music. A truly relaxing feast of both vision and sound!

Through a small triumphal arch decorated with scenes of Napoleon’s victorious army, there is the garden created by Leotre, the Jardin des Tuileries. A bridge and fountain are the focal points of this popular park, created in typical French style. A modern glass pyramid and a fountain decorate the courtyard of the former Louvre Palace, which since the time of the Revolution has been transformed into a museum that contains the famous Louvre art gallery. Its collection of remarkable historic treasures and superb art collection make it one of the world’s most famous museums with Leonardo Da Vinci´s masterpiece, the Mona Lisa, taking pride of place.
